Before Pharmaceuticals became the norm, it is likely humans have been foraging, tending, and concocting medicines from plants as long as humans have existed.

Archeological excavations dated as early as 60,000 years ago have found remains of medicinal plants, such as opium poppies, ephedra, and cannabis.

Mass produced pharmaceuticals we are familiar with today take origin in their plant form before being chemically altered to what we are accustom to seeing at our corner pharmacies and hospitals. Penicillium mold (penicillin), Willow Bark (aspirin), Ephedra (Sedatives), and Poppies (morphine, codeine) are just a few examples.

These plant medicines are inspired by my own personal home Apothecary and journey into herbalism. These medicines have and do provide health and shelter to me and now are an offering to you. Made in small batches with attentive care, intention, and love. The plants are grown free of chemicals, pesticides, fertilizer, and plastic. Each plant is grown from seed and harvested at our home, Cedar Tree Farms, by my husband and me, or ethically and sustainably wild harvested. Medicines are made in glass and tin to not contribute to the over production of plastic on Mama Earth.

May these medicines aid in our return to the land, to what our ancestors knew, that health in all its forms is found in our direct relationship to nature as she provides so much of what we need to sustain longevity, adaptability, homeostasis, and overall wellness, so we may thrive in our home, the human body.
